Doug Castledine is a registered professional engineer who trained at RMIT University at Melbourne, Australia. During twelve years in the Royal Australian Air Force, which included flight testing aircraft systems, and ten years in aircraft design, manufacture and flight test he became well acquainted with quality management systems.He completed an MBA in Production and Quality Systems Management, at Central Michigan University in 1979. Doug has held various positions in the Australian aircraft industry in engineering, project, production and general management and throughout this time he was involved, as a line manager, in implementation of ISO 9000 standard quality management systems in aircraft design and manufacturing companies. Since 1990 he has been in Hong Kong consulting to the construction industry in quality management and assisting companies to obtain and maintain quality management systems which are certified to ISO 9000 standard. Doug has worked extensively with both government agencies and private companies.
